Install playbook (Chrome)

Follow these steps and avoid the “why is Chrome yelling at me” arc.

Grab the buildStep 1

Download `xrpl-wallet-extension.zip` from the link above. If your browser whines, tell it to relax—it is just a zip.

Unzip itStep 2

Extract the archive. You should see folders like background, popup, options, and a manifest.json living its best life.

Open chrome://extensionsStep 3

Toggle Developer Mode (top right). Yes, you are now a developer. Congratulations.

Load unpackedStep 4

Click “Load unpacked” and point Chrome at the extracted folder (the one with manifest.json). Do not select the zip.

Pin and connectStep 5

Pin the extension, open it, pick mainnet or testnet, and connect to your dApps. If something smells sus, cancel the prompt.

Why no Chrome Web Store?

Listing costs cash and bureaucracy. Dev mode keeps us nimble while we ship. When the vibes (and budget) are right, we will publish.

Is this safe to install?

Code is open in @wallet-extension/. Review it, build it yourself, or run it in a fresh profile. Always read the signing prompts.

How do I update?

Re-download the latest zip, remove the old folder, and Load Unpacked again. Chrome will keep your permissions and settings.

Does it phone home?

No hidden telemetry. Network calls are XRPL RPC and what the UI needs. If you see anything shady, open an issue and we will squash it.

How do I get support?
